Keynote 3: “Understanding Bullying and Creating Caring Communities” (Dr. Honey Carandang)

Dr. Honey Carandang

Dr. Honey Carandang gave the third keynote address during the Jesuit Basic Education Congress in Zamboanga City. Her talk followed a special sneak preview of Lee Hirsch‘s documentary “Bully,” for which JBEC has acquired the distribution rights in the Philippines.

In her talk, Dr. Carandang provided the delegates a framework to be used in addressing the worsening problem of bullying in schools.

She also advocated for more preventive measures, primarily in the effort to create what she calls “caring communities” in our schools.

  1. Kathrine Rose Yee says:

hello Fr. J! good day! I am Kathrine Yee, I would like to ask if you also conduct “anti-bullying” campaigns in schools which are not members of your network? if yes, are you doing this for free? thank you very much!
